New Info 07/01/2001!!

After 2+ years the PuterGeek.Com News (PGCN) has come to an end!  I simply do not have enough free time to devote to the website and the newsletter.  At this time in my life I just don't have enough free time so something had to give.  If the truth be told...I derive more pleasure from working on the website than working on the newsletter.

At the time of closing, the PGCN newsletter had just over 1600 subscribers, had been the number one rated computer E-zine at Infojump.com for the last seven months, and was one of the top 25 E-zines at E-Zine Universe.

I want to thank all the people who subscribed and watched it grow from a simple email to full-fledged E-zine, and a special thanks to the core 100+ people who were with me from the beginning and gave me many great suggestions along the way (you all know who you are).

The PuterGeek.Com Message Board is now available!  Here is another place you can post your request for help.  This will give others the chance to answer your question as well as to possibly get a different answer (maybe better, maybe worse) than you'll get from me.  Since I may be on the road when you send me your request for help it could take some time for me to answer you.  If you're like me, you want your question answered now!  Well, try the message board.  Since about 5000 people come to PuterGeek.Com every month you never know, you might get it answered right away.

I have an informal newsletter that I put out on an irregular (1-5 times a month) basis.  It is totally free, as well as Spam free!  Rest assured, I will never give out your email address to anyone! Ever!

The PuterGeek.Com News newsletter includes information on changes to the PuterGeek.Com website, occasional personal news, tips, tricks, tweaks, warnings, reviews, including tidbits from all the newsletters I subscribe to.  The average newsletter contains the best tidbits from all the newsletters that I receive condensed down to a more manageable/comfortable read.

To subscribe or unsubscribe simply fill out the appropriate box below.

Below the subscribe/unsubscribe form are links to all the previous newsletters.  Feel free to download or print any of them.

Please read!

Before signing up for the newsletter please take a few minutes to look at a couple of the most recent issues.  This will help you decide if you'd really like to get the PuterGeek.Com newsletter.

This is not like most newsletters available on the internet.  It will not contain very much original content.  The format is very casual and laid back.  It will contain info about PuterGeek.Com, myself, what's going on in my life, and things that I've learned in the school of hard knocks.

The bulk of the newsletter will feature articles, quotes, and snippets of info I've read from all the newsletters I subscribe to.  I've found a large number of people either don't have the time, or don't wish to take the time to read multiple email newsletters per week.  So, since I do read them, I take the info I find most interesting and put it together into a more condensed single newsletter.

I always give credit to the author as well as a website to go to if you wish to either read more or sign up for their newsletter.

Some of the staples of my newsletter are:

If you already subscribe to some or all of these fine newsletters you may find my newsletter to be somewhat redundant.

The content will increase when I finally get off the road.  At the present all my free time is currently taken up by maintaining this website and answering all the "helpme" emails I get.

PuterGeek.Com offers three e-mail lists (or newsletters):

These lists are 100% OPT-in!  The lists are completely separate, and the emails are never sold, traded, or given out to ANYONE!  You can unsubscribe at any time.  Just click on the link to get more info on each list.
